Start them young...

Here's a Happy Face for y'all...

Outdoorsy Baby Boy!

This is the face of one Very content, healthy and Happy little boy, raised in various Outdoorsy slanted type of environs. His smiling little face told here on the couch, of how he dug sharing his little life with his sister and I all the time. His way of showing his Love back, for us. Yup, our little Lee here, was who some would call, a Natural! Born into a family who knew and loved the Natural things in life. He ate all of the wild foods that we ate and was never left out of anything, because he was too young. This awesome little boy was a total charm to be with at all times. He had an amazing disposition. It's hard to explain sort of, but a powerful feeling of closeness and bottomless Love consumed me, anytime he was near, or even when I thought of him. It is my belief he felt that super deep love oozing from me and reciprocated naturally, in his own ways, as any child would...

This was a love that went deeper even, than the Love I had for his mother, if you can believe that. This thing called Love, is capable of being found early in life as well, if it is indeed presented in the first place. Lots of children, grow up, never knowing the true meanings of and or experiencing, their own real love. A natural and unconditional love. I suppose that's why So many people own Dogs. They are seeking LOVE. And that my dear reader, is a real pity...

So, I say unto you this day. If You have children, Please get them started towards the Outdoorsy world asap and shower them with all the different Loves that you know about. Do Not limit their potential Greatness, with stuff like, they are too young or you're too busy or whatever. Do your job, and be all you can be for those precious children of yours. They will be all grown up and gone far too soon and you Do Not want to have a bunch of regrets to remember,eh? :-)

P.S. Tell them that you Love them, a few more times to-day. It'll get their attention, I'm bettin' on it. :-)

Do You miss Your Grandpa?

Wild Blueberries...

Powerful memories...

After watching Kathryn, from "What A Catch", on T.V. just a few minutes ago, I was suddenly Very inspired, to pose this question to You. Do You miss Your Grandpa? You see, while telling us all a little bit about her Grandpa, like picking Blueberries together and stuff, she became very emotional on camera and started crying a little and told us that it made her realize just how much she missed him, now that he had gone off to the beautiful trout stream in the sky. Well, that sure struck a cord with me folks! Yup, you know it, a tear started rolling down my cheek too, as memories flashed through My minds eye of years past, spent with Loved ones, who are no longer here. :-(

...The other day I spent time with one of my best friends after not seeing him for awhile and his Granddad came into one of our conversations. You see, he was an old school fishing guide and he knew that my buddy was the Only one in the whole family who had Any interest in Fishing and the Outdoors. He had been trying to make up for lost time in his later years by asking my bud to come down and spend some time with him on the lake. Of course the timing thingy wasn't quite right, like for most of us, so he had to pass on the opportunity and stay home and provide for his own little family. Unfortunately, my buddy's Gramps died shortly thereafter and he then realized just what an opportunity he had missed. That old man had wanted to share the best things in his life with his cool young and only really deserving grandchild, but fate deals the cards and it still affects my bud to this day.

Missed opportunities are not something we want to dwell on here but, they should teach and remind us NOT to waste or pass up too many similar future opps...

Maybe You are one of the lucky ones and still have Your Gramps close by? If that's the case, this is to remind YOU to get over there and spend some time with this man, on whatever terms he prefers. And, be quick about it as grand-dads seem to be harder and harder to come by these days...

For the balance of You, the ones that do not have Your Grandfather around anymore, I want You to think about Your Granddad to-day and Your times together with him. He deserves that remembrance to say the least and the feelings that will come to You through this experience, will be Well worth Your time to-day. Those personal thoughts of Your's just may even bring a tear to Your eyes, like it did to Kathryn and I, this morning. :-) We Miss You Grandpa!

If You haven't seen, "What A Catch" yet, I highly recommend tracking it down and watchin' this Cool Woman Angler. Also her line of Outdoorsy Women's Shirts totally ROCK! Any Woman will look great in her products, guaranteed!

Have a super day now...

P.S. Maybe You have an Uncle or an old fishing buddy that you can remember to-day in lieu of a real grandad...
